Established in 1873, serving over 18,364 students today,University of Canterbury is only the second oldest university in New Zealand.UC now has a diverse range of study options, offering over 120 qualifications in more than 150 subject areas. The university has five colleges focusing namely on arts, education,engineering, science, business and law. UC has exchanges with over 50 universities worldwide, and our unique Erskine Fellowship programme brings 75 international academics each year to teach at UC.

Situated on 76 hectares in the leafy Christchurch suburb of Ilam, the UC campus is a beautiful space to learn in.Ten local accommodation facilities provide for more than 2,200 students.
